Our yacht is a Beneteau Oceanis 45 called Estela.
She is configured for luxury and cruising. Estela features the four cabin version, so has 5 separate sleeping areas (including the saloon). We have equipped Estela fully for 8 persons.
A single line, slab reefing main (1st and second reefs), deep 3rd reef plus furling genoa and storm gib provides for sailing in very varied conditions.
The boat is well maintained, taken out the water annually and subjected to a full maintenance plan for the entire boat. Surplus monies are spent on replacing key items, for example, we replaced our main and foresail with new and high quality sails in 2023 plus new batteries and safety gear to start our 2024 season.
Her cabin is spacious, the saloon and cabins comfortable, with a layout you can see below.
The on-board navigation equipment is well specified as you would expect, including transmit and receive AIS. The saloon includes a fridge and freezer. An onboard inverter allows for charging devices needing ‘mains’ voltage, such as laptops.
