Estela spent last winter near Athens, started the season with a visit to Turkey, followed by a slow sequential cruise to Kefalonia, which became a base from where much family friendly cruising was enjoyed. She then moved north to Montenegro and Croatia. She is currently in Dubrovnik. The Club is currently preparing plans for a winter base, either in Dubrovnik, Preveza or a trip back to Athens.

2025 will most likely see the season spent cruising the Med west towards Spain and perhaps Gibraltar. There is then a strong possibility that Estela spends the winter of 2025 exploring the relative warm waters and steady winds of the Canary Islands giving fresh areas for members to explore. Outline plans for 2025 will be confirmed by members at the AGM in the Autumn.
For several weeks over the summer of 2024, Estela has not been booked. After many years of membership, several of our more active members now have their own boats though stay connected/members with the Club.
Our current recruitment drive has already produced a good stream of quality candidates keen to get on the water as either crew or skippers. Potential members are invited to meet with a couple of current members in England then spend some days with other members on Estela before their membership application is finalised. This period is self funded by the potential member and ensures that the Club is right for them and the potential member is right for the Club. This is a great way to kick-start friendships within the Club.
